Slovak Deputy PM Highlights Strong Ties with Azerbaijan at World Urban Forum

Baku: Slovakia has established robust relations with Azerbaijan, according to Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment Tomas Taraba. His remarks were made during a statement to journalists at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Taraba emphasized the importance of international collaboration in addressing climate change. He stated that climate issues are a high priority for Slovakia, highlighting that no single country can tackle these challenges alone. He pointed out that urbanization faces significant pressure from new standards and noted that while the European Union is rapidly increasing these standards, Slovakia prefers a pragmatic approach. Taraba cautioned that not every solution is necessarily correct, as certain climate policies can inadvertently increase poverty worldwide.
