Slovak President Extends Independence Day Greetings to Azerbaijani Leader

Baku: Peter Pellegrini, President of the Slovak Republic, extended his congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Pellegrini expressed his best wishes on behalf of the Slovak citizens and himself in a letter addressed to the Azerbaijani leader.

The letter highlighted the friendly and robust relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the potential for further development. President Pellegrini reflected on their strategic partnership, which has been instrumental in strengthening ties and exploring new avenues for cooperation. He also reminisced about his visit to Azerbaijan and his meeting with President Aliyev during the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29).

President Pellegrini expressed his anticipation for President Aliyev’s forthcoming visit to Slovakia, viewing it as an opportunity to reciprocate the hospitality he received in Azerbaijan. He conveyed confidence that this meeting would serve as a catalyst for the continued development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations. The letter concluded with wishes for the health, peace, stability, success, and prosperity of President Aliyev and all Azerbaijani citizens.
