Baku: "Cooperation between Slovakia and Azerbaijan in the fields of security, defense, and strengthening defense capabilities is also developing," President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini stated in a joint press statement with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Shusha.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Pellegrini emphasized that Slovakia will continue its role as NATO's Contact Point Embassy in Azerbaijan through its Baku-based embassy during the years 2027-2028. He expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development of cooperation in security and defense sectors. The Slovak president also highlighted the upcoming defense industry exhibition in Baku, scheduled for September, where Slovakia will showcase the initial outcomes of their collaborative efforts and the agreements achieved between the two nations.
