Slovak President’s Adviser Warns of Rising Chauvinist Parties in EU

Baku: J¡n Kubi foreign policy and international relations adviser to the President of Slovakia, expressed concerns over the rising influence of chauvinist parties in European Union countries. Speaking at the 13th Global Baku Forum during a panel discussion titled 'Multilateralism in Crisis: Rethinking Global Cooperation', Kubimphasized the importance of preserving a rules-based international order.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Kubistated that despite claims of the international legal system's demise, a majority of nations continue to uphold this framework. He warned against misinterpretations that suggest the intentional undermining of international law and stressed the need to combat aggressive nationalism. He pointed out that chauvinist, populist nationalist, and right-wing parties are gaining strength across the EU, calling for concerted efforts to counter this trend.
