SOCAR, Azerbaijan Ministry, and ILO Discuss Future Collaborative Efforts

Baku: A meeting was held involving Hidayat Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan; Ziba Mustafayeva, Vice President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR); and Mikhail Pushkin, Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Office of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The discussion centered on future cooperation and collaborative efforts among the parties.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting highlighted the successful experience of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ILO and emphasized the importance of the 'Decent Work Country Programme for 2025-2029.' The program aims to further enhance labor standards and working conditions in Azerbaijan.

It was noted during the meeting that SOCAR places significant importance on implementing international labor standards in the workplace. The company is also committed to promoting principles of inclusiveness, diversity, and equality, and is actively undertaking measures in this area.

The parties also exchanged views on the prospects for upcoming trilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, indicating a continued partnership and shared goals in improving labor conditions and standards.
