BAKU: SOCAR bondholders have received over $13 million in income following the final coupon payment for 2024. The bonds, which have a nominal value of $1,000 and a 5-year maturity, offer an annual yield of 4.5% paid quarterly. The latest payment, amounting to $1.125 million, was credited to the bondholders’ accounts on November 1, 2024.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the next coupon payment is scheduled for February 1, 2025. SOCAR bonds are noted as the most actively traded corporate securities in the local stock market. With this 12th coupon payment, bondholders have generated an additional $1.125 million, bringing their total income to $13.5 million, which is expected to reach $22.5 million by the end of the term.
Currently, the volume of operations with SOCAR bonds in the secondary market has reached $50 million, with a total of 900 completed transactions. Since their introduction in 2016, SOCAR bonds have provided approximately $40 million in total income to investors.
