Baku: SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf recently held a meeting with Gordon Birrell, the Executive Vice President for Production and Operations at bp. The discussion highlighted the enduring and effective collaboration between SOCAR and bp, focusing on the shared initiatives that have been pivotal to their partnership.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting addressed a range of upstream projects. These included the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) and Non-Associated Gas (NAG) projects, along with the Shah Deniz Compression, Karabakh, Ashrafi-Dan Ulduzu-Aypara (ADUA), and Shafag-Asiman projects. These projects are instrumental in the energy cooperation between the two entities.
The conversation also explored potential joint ventures in third countries, signaling an interest in expanding their collaborative efforts beyond current engagements. Additionally, the dialogue covered midstream and renewable energy initiatives, reflecting a commitment to exploring diverse areas of mutual interest.
