Kulevi: SOCAR's oil terminal in Kulevi has successfully doubled its throughput capacity, announced Ismayil Karimov, General Director of the Black Sea Terminal, during his address at the II Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trade and Logistics Forum organized by GLENMAR Group.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the capacity increase was achieved after the terminal transitioned to a 24/7 operating schedule. Karimov explained that prior to this change, the terminal lacked night navigation capacity, which was resolved through close coordination with the local maritime transport agency. By fulfilling the necessary requirements for night operations, the terminal overcame previous restrictions that limited loading and unloading activities to daytime hours only.
The shift to round-the-clock operations marks a significant milestone for SOCAR's Kulevi terminal, enhancing its operational efficiency and throughput capabilities.
