Baku: The SPE Caspian Technical Conference commenced today in Baku, APA-Economics reports. The event spans three days and is supported by SOCAR, focusing on the theme ‘Learning from the Past, Innovating Today, Inspiring the Future.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference attracts government representatives, industry experts, and delegates from technology companies involved in the Caspian region’s energy sector. The program features an opening ceremony, the presentation of SPE regional awards, high-level plenary sessions, and over 20 thematic panels. Key topics include digitalization, artificial intelligence, enhancing the efficiency of mature fields, energy security, and sustainable supply.

Speakers from prominent global companies such as SOCAR, bp, SLB, TotalEnergies, Baker Hughes, Chevron, and Halliburton are scheduled to address the participants. Alongside the conference, a technology exhibition is being held where companies present new engineering solutions and innovations shaping the future of the energy industry. The event is set to run until November 27.

SPE, the Society of Petroleum Engineers, is an international organization that unites 132,000 specialists from 146 countries. It develops professional standards, creates educational programs, supports technical communities, and serves as a platform for knowledge exchange.
