Aghdam: About 10,000 people currently reside in Aghdam City, as reported by Emin Huseynov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts. Huseynov shared this information during a conference organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office in Aghdam.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, relocation efforts have commenced in three villages within the Aghdam region. Despite these ongoing relocation activities, Aghdam City itself hosts approximately 10,000 residents. Huseynov also highlighted significant progress in demining operations, with 51.24 percent of Aghdam district, 67.76 percent of Fuzuli district, and 7.56 percent of Khojavend district cleared of mines.

Additionally, Huseynov detailed various infrastructure developments that have been completed over the past eight months. These projects include 16 highways spanning a total of 593.7 kilometers, a railway line measuring 47.1 kilometers, an international airport, the construction of eight substations, four reservoirs, six water channels, and the installation of a main gas pipeline.
