SSPF Chief Highlights Significant Increase in Annual Social Benefits Payments

Baku: Compared to 2018, the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) now provides larger-scale, more accessible, faster, transparent and citizen-oriented services with a more optimized workforce and fewer, centralized structural units, SSPF Chairman Zeka Mirzayev said in an interview with APA. He noted that while the annual volume of state social payments was around AZN 4 billion in 2018, the Fund currently ensures the payment of nearly AZN 11 billion annually on behalf of the state.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Mirzayev emphasized that the SSPF's objectives are not focused on international evaluations. The value of their achievements is not measured solely by international awards and recognitions. For the SSPF, the greatest reward is the trust they have earned from the people. If citizens feel the results of the reforms implemented under the instructions of their head of state through improvements in their social welfare, that is considered their greatest success.

Mirzayev further highlighted that the recognition of their success as one of the best international practices globally provides the SSPF with additional motivation while also placing greater responsibility on them.
