Stable Azerbaijani Manat Holds Against Dollar Despite Fluctuations with Other Currencies


BAKU: The Azerbaijani manat maintained its position against the US dollar this week, with the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) setting a consistent exchange rate, according to Trend News Agency.

According to Trend News Agency, the official exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat against the US dollar remained steady at 1.7 manat per dollar by the end of this week. In contrast, the manat experienced slight fluctuations against other major currencies. The official rate against the euro increased by 0.0141 manat, although the weighted average rate saw a decrease of 0.0135 manat, settling at 1.8496 manat per euro.

In other developments, the manat appreciated by 0.0002 against the Russian ruble officially, though the weighted average rate fell by 0.0001 manat, resulting in a rate of 0.0176 manat per ruble. Meanwhile, the official exchange rate of the manat against the Turkish lira experienced a minor drop of 0.0001 manat, while the weighted average rate climbed by 0.0001 manat, resulting in 0.0497 manat per lira.
