Strong earthquakes in Shamakhinsky district

On Saturday at 16:46, an earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred in the territory of Shamakhinsky district.

According to the director of the Republican Seismological Center Gurban Yetirmishli, the epicenter of the earthquake was 20 km south of the village of Pirgulu (125 km north-west of Baku), and at a depth of 42 km.

According to preliminary data, a number of structures were damaged. The official information was not available for 6 p.m.
