Students of Ismayilli State Humanitarian and Technology College Gain Insight into Baku Engineering University’s Educational Offerings

Baku: The Baku Engineering University (BEU) recently hosted students from Ismayilli State Humanitarian and Technology College in an effort to strengthen ties between higher education and secondary specialized education institutions.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event began with the participants watching a promotional video about BEU. In his opening remarks, BEU Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations Bayram Huseynzade underscored the importance of collaboration between educational institutions to prepare competitive personnel for the labor market. Huseynzade highlighted BEU's focus on training engineers and specialists to international standards, emphasizing the university's commitment to equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, as well as fostering innovative thinking and research abilities.

BEU Vice-Rector for International Relations Atraba Gul discussed the university's international cooperation initiatives, noting successful partnerships with prestigious universities worldwide. He emphasized recent expansions in collaboration with leading Chinese universities through dual degree programs, which allow BEU students to study in China and earn dual diplomas. Gul mentioned that these programs play a crucial role in preparing students to be competitive specialists in the global market.

The Director of Ismayilli State Humanitarian and Technology College, Kamala Suleymanli, provided insights into her institution, highlighting the potential benefits of expanding cooperation with BEU. Suleymanli emphasized that such partnerships could enhance students' professional preparation and introduce innovative educational approaches. She suggested that collaboration could include experience exchange among teaching staff and professional development programs.

Nizami Ahmadov, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, and Asif Guliyev, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at BEU, also addressed the attendees. They provided comprehensive information on the specializations offered by their faculties, modern teaching methods, and practical training opportunities available to students.

The event also featured a dance performance by BEU students, and concluded with a tour of BEU's campus, allowing the visiting students to explore its classrooms, laboratories, and social infrastructure.
