Baku: Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, has conveyed his congratulations to the Republic of Azerbaijan on the occasion of its Independence Day. In his message, the Sultan extended his warmest congratulations to the President, the Government, and the people of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Sultan expressed his appreciation for the warm and friendly relations that have been maintained between Brunei Darussalam and Azerbaijan for over three decades. He highlighted the importance of enhancing these ties further, both bilaterally and on international platforms such as the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, and the Non-Aligned Movement.

The Sultan concluded his message by wishing for continued good health and happiness for the President of Azerbaijan and for progress and prosperity for the Azerbaijani people.
