Dushanbe: Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Elchin Zeynalov engaged in productive discussions with Tajik Deputy Minister of Agriculture Anvari Nigina during the 35th session of the FAO Regional Conference for Europe and Central Asia, held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of agricultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan. Both parties acknowledged the ongoing development in agriculture and other economic sectors. Elchin Zeynalov emphasized the potential for expanding ties through closer business contacts, joint forums, and participation in international exhibitions, which could diversify trade and increase turnover.
Anvari Nigina conveyed Tajikistan's keen interest in learning from Azerbaijan's agricultural practices. She stressed the significance of broadening cooperation through scientific and practical exchanges between the respective institutions of the two countries.
Additionally, during his visit, Elchin Zeynalov met with Turkish Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ahmet Bagci. Their discussions revolved around enhancing agricultural trade, transferring modern technologies, advancing digitalization, and strengthening collaboration in research, education, agricultural insurance, and viticulture.
