Baku: A continental team comprising member countries of the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM is set to participate in the upcoming UCI 2.1 category "Baku-Khankendi" Azerbaijan cycling race, scheduled from May 10-14, 2026.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the competition promises a robust international presence, highlighting the participation of 25 teams from 20 countries. Among the contenders are 1 World Tour team, 7 Pro-Tour teams, 16 Continental teams, along with the Azerbaijani national cycling team.
The event is expected to draw significant attention as teams and cyclists prepare to navigate the challenging racecourse set between Baku and Khankendi. The inclusion of GUAM's team underscores the growing interest and competitiveness in the region's cycling scene.
