The duties collected for the technical inspection of some vehicles are pushing up.

This was indicated in the proposed amendment to the Law “On State Duty” submitted for discussion at a meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship on November 1.

According to the draft, the duties for motor vehicles, tractors, self-propelled vehicles intended for use in construction, forestry and agriculture, other works, technological, racing, sports and other motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers, are rising from 10 to 15 manats.

Also, due to cases of donation of passenger cars to close relatives, as well as in other cases not provided for by this Law, the duty for motor vehicles is rising from 10 to 20 manats.

On the basis of agreements on the alienation of passenger cars by individuals and the protocol on the results of the auction, the state registration of these passenger cars with the relevant executive authority will be as follows:

– Up to 2000 cubic centimeters – for each cubic meter of engine volume – 0.05 manat;

– Up to 3000 cubic centimeters – 100 manat + 0.1 manat per cubic centimeter for part of the engine volume 2001-3000 cubic millimeters;

– Up to 4000 cubic centimeters – 200 manat + 0.2 manat per cubic centimeter for 3001-4000 cubic millimeters of engine volume;

– Up to 5000 cubic centimeters – 400 manat + 0.3 manat per cubic centimeter for a part of the engine volume of 4001-5000 cubic millimeters;

– In excess of 5000 cubic meters-1500 manat.

These duties are identical to the state duties approved by the Cabinet of Ministers. However, this will already be specified by the Law, and the amount of state duty will decrease, starting with cars whose production period exceeds 4 years.

According to the same project, the fees for taking driver’s license exams are also being increased.

Thus, the fee for a driver’s license to drive motor vehicles, trams and trolleybuses increases from 20 to 40 manats. The fee for re-admission of exams for obtaining a driver’s license will be increased by 10 manats and set at 20 manats.
