Moscow: Telegram and WhatsApp have been officially blocked in Crimea, APA’s Moscow bureau reports, citing local media.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Russia’s Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor) has imposed the restrictions, requiring all operators to comply with the ban.
The Ministry of Information of Crimea has recommended that residents of the peninsula install and use the Max messenger application as an alternative.
