Telegram will this month be introducing an additional feature paid subscription option called Telegram Premium, the company announced on Friday, APA reports citing Teletrader.

“This month we will introduce Telegram Premium, a subscription plan that allows anyone to acquire additional features, speed and resources. It will also allow users to support Telegram and join the club that receives new features first,” the announcement read.

Telegram also noted that even though the experiment with private-focused ads was a success, the company wishes that the social network remain primarily “funded by users, not advertisers”, so that the subscriber will always represent Telegram’s “main priority.”
