The Kremlin reacted with understanding to the map of the “Turkic world”

The map of the “Turkic world”, which was presented to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (HDP) Devlet Bakhcheli, does not show a red star that the real center is located in the Russian Altai. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.

Peskov appreciated the donated map and said that Turkish politicians periodically “nurture the idea of Turkic unity,” which is completely normal. “The only thing I can regret is that there is still no big red star on the map in the center of the “Turkic world”,” Peskov added. He explained that this center is located in Altai and this is the “sacred place” from which the Turks came.

Earlier, a photo appeared on the network showing Erdogan and Bakhcheli holding a framed map of the “Turkic world”. The picture showed that about 20 Russian regions were included in it. According to the leader of the HDP, the “Turkic world” includes the southern regions of Russia, including the Crimea, the Rostov region, part of the North Caucasus and Eastern Siberia.

Traditionally, Altai is considered the cradle of the Turkic peoples. The Proto-Turkic language was formed 2500 years BC. Within the framework of the Altai hypothesis, the Proto-Turkic, along with the Proto-Mongolian, Pratungus-Manchurian, Proto-Japanese and Proto-Korean, is considered a descendant of the Proto-Altai language.
