Los angeles: On the occasion of the birthday of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, the Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles organized an Azerbaijani Evening of Arts titled 'The Living Legacy of the National Leader.'
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event, held in Los Angeles, featured a program reflecting the values cherished by the National Leader, including multiculturalism, mutual respect among peoples, and diversity as a source of beauty. The evening brought together members of the consular corps, representatives of different religious and ethnic communities, as well as members of the local public. Fine art, culture, and music came together to showcase the spirit of cultural coexistence within Azerbaijani society.
The event featured an exhibition organized under the subthemes 'Contemporary Azerbaijan,' 'Women of Azerbaijan,' 'Multiculturalism in Azerbaijan,' and 'Diverse,' showcasing works by Azerbaijani artists Nazim Hajiyev, Fidan Kim, and Intigam Musayev. The artists engaged in conversations with guests about their creative journeys, how they came to art, and the inspiration they draw from Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.
In his remarks, Consul General Vugar Gurbanov emphasized that the atmosphere of cultural harmony shaped in Azerbaijan through the policies of the National Leader is being continued by President Ilham Aliyev. He noted that Heydar Aliyev's political legacy, rooted in support for culture and the arts, continues to inspire Azerbaijani artists.
Guests praised the evening organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles as an initiative aimed at preserving the National Leader's legacy and building cultural bridges between Azerbaijan and the United States.
