An official meeting was held at the Central Command Post today under the leadership of Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov.

The Defense Ministry’s press service reported that at the meeting, with the participation of the department’s leadership and the heads of departments and services, commanders of the kinds of troops, the situation on the state border and in the territories of temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was analyzed, and particularly the latest clashes in Kelbajar and Lachin.

The leadership of the Defense Ministry expressed serious concern over the spreading of photos and videos related to the combat operations on the state border by users of social networks.

As a result of the measures taken by the command of the Azerbaijani army, a group of servicemen was found to have grossly violated the secrecy regime by distributing such materials. A decision was made to remove these soldiers from the army, and the collected materials were sent to law enforcement bodied for legal assessment of their actions.

The Minister gave appropriate instructions to improve the service and combat activities at the state border.
