The Official Visit of Emin Amrullayev to Georgia Continues

The official visit of the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev to Georgia continues.

The Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev visited the memorial of national leader in Heydar Aliyev Park in Tbilisi, laid a wreath in front of it and commemorated him with the delegation in the framework of the visit.

Then the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev visited Museum of Azerbaijani Culture named after M.F. Akhundzadeh, got acquainted with the life and creativity of M.F. Akhundzadeh, the activity of the museum, information on exponents held there.

The Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev met with George Sharvashidze, rector of Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili in the framework of the visit.

The Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev stated that there was good cooperation between the higher schools of Azerbaijan and Georgia. The Minister noted that the development of relations in the field of education between two countries created the opportunities for extension of cooperation in other directions.

Emin Amrullayev stated that Azerbaijan was interested in the improvement of relations with neighbor and friend Georgia in all directions, including science and education. One of the main aims of this visit is exchanging opinions on this.

In his turn, rector George Sharvashidze gave detailed information on the activity, international cooperation of the university leaded by him. He pointed out that Tbilisi State University named after Ivane Javakhishvili cooperated closely with Ganja State University, Khazar University and other higher educational institutions of Azerbaijan.

Then the detailed exchange of opinions was conducted on other issues of mutual interest in the meeting.

The necessity of student exchange, cooperation in the field of education, conducting joint scientifical studies between higher educational institutions of two countries was emphasized during the conversation.

It shall be noted that the visit of the Minister of Education to Georgia will end on February 23.
