The process of vaccination of pedagogical and technical staff against COVID-19 is nearing completion in order to restore traditional education in vocational schools for the 2021/2022 academic year.

This was reported to AZERTAC by the State Agency for Vocational Education. As of September 22, 94% of the total staff had been vaccinated for the first dose and 81% for both doses. These figures are 93 percent in Baku, 95 percent in Sumgayit, 93 percent in the Absheron region and 93 percent in the regions.

In accordance with the “Strategy for Vaccination against COVID-19 in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2021-2022”, the vaccination process for pedagogical and technical staff of vocational schools began in late March. In order to maintain a normal learning environment in a pandemic, educators need to be involved in the vaccination process. Completion of the vaccination process as soon as possible will support the restoration of traditional education, as well as the creation of more educational opportunities for those who want to receive vocational education.

We call on educators to unite under the motto #VaccinationForEducation to get vaccinated and contribute to the restoration of traditional education.
