Baku:Three Afghan nationals have been detained by Azerbaijani authorities while attempting to illegally cross the state border. The incident was reported by the Press Center of the State Border Service.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the detentions occurred as a result of operational and military measures conducted in the service area of the "Lankaran" border detachment of the Border Troops. The individuals were attempting to cross from the Islamic Republic of Iran into the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Currently, operational and investigative measures regarding this incident are ongoing.
