Baku: Three employees of Switzerland's diplomatic mission have been evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan, APA's southern bureau reports. The Swiss diplomatic representatives were safely transported to Azerbaijan through the Astara state border checkpoint.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the evacuation did not only involve the Swiss diplomats. Five Azerbaijani citizens and one Chinese citizen were also evacuated from Iran via the Azerbaijani border. The process of evacuation is still ongoing, indicating a coordinated effort to ensure the safe passage of individuals from Iran to neighboring Azerbaijan. The reasons behind the evacuations have not been disclosed, but the operations reflect a significant diplomatic and strategic movement in the region.
