The transit of wheeled vehicles (TIR) through the territory of Azerbaijan in the first half of 2022 rose by 29.5 percent as compared to the same period of 2021. This was reported by the press service of the Baku International Sea Trade Port.

In the first half of the last year, 18,075 trucks were transported through the Baku Sea Port, while in the first six months of 2022 this figure stood at 23,410 units which means growth of 29.5%.

It is worth noting that since 2018, the indices of the transit of wheeled vehicles began to grow steadily. So, in 2018, 21,401 TIR were transshipped at the Baku port, and already in 2021 this figure grew by 84% to 39,431 TIR. It is predicted that the positive dynamics will continue until the end of this year.
