Tokayev Highlights New Railway Project and Digital Initiatives at Turkic States Summit

Gabala: President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, announced plans to advance the Trans-Kazakhstan railway project at the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States. Tokayev emphasized that these initiatives will play a crucial role in enhancing regional connectivity.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the President urged the member states to focus on the development of airports and seaports. He also highlighted the importance of artificial intelligence technology, proposing the establishment of a Digital Monitoring Center and a Digital Innovation Center. These centers aim to facilitate exchanges in artificial intelligence and attract resources, supporting Kazakhstan’s goal of becoming a fully digitalized state. Tokayev suggested that the next summit concentrate on artificial intelligence and digital development.

Additionally, Tokayev proposed the creation of a council dedicated to energy efficiency, underscoring the significant role of the energy sector in the economies of the Organization of Turkic States’ members.
