Tokayev promised to provide the German economy with Kazakh energy

Kazakhstan is ready to provide the German economy with energy and raw materials, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said. “Kazakhstan can provide the German economy with energy and the necessary raw materials, which is especially important in the current difficult geopolitical and geo-economic period. A clear example of this is the supply of Kazakh oil to an oil refinery in the city of Schwedt at the request of the German side,” Tokayev said. He said that for the effective implementation of the planned projects, it is necessary to solve a number of tasks, including increasing transport and logistics ties. According to him, the importance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, called the “Middle Corridor”, is increasing today. “We stressed the need to develop transport and logistics infrastructure, which has great prospects. They also discussed the introduction of Kazakhstani projects into initiatives implemented within the framework of the “Global Gate” strategy in force in the EU,” the head of state said. Kazakh oil is supplied via the ‘Drujba’ oil pipeline to the Shvedta oil refinery, the volume of pumping since the start of deliveries in February this year amounted to 190 thousand tons. For 2023, KazTransOil has a quota from Transneft for the transportation of 1.2 million tons of Kazakh oil to Germany via the ‘Drujba’ oil pipeline
