Top Russian diplomat pays official visit to Tajikistan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov starts his two-day official visit to Tajikistan on June 5, APA reports citing Asia-Plus.

Lavrov is scheduled to hold talks with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, says a statement released by the Russian MFA on June 4.

The parties are expected to discuss a number of topical issues related to the bilateral cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan, “further development of the alliance of Moscow and Dushanbe in political, economic and humanitarian areas.”
