Total Volume of Transfers from Azerbaijani State Oil Fund to State Budget Exceeds AZN 163 Billion

Baku: The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has transferred a total of AZN 163,172.4 million to the state budget as of June 30, 2025.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the first half of this year, within the framework of SOFAZ’s 2025 budget implementation, AZN 7,240.5 million was transferred to the state budget. This demonstrates the fund’s active role in supporting the nation’s fiscal policies.

Furthermore, as of June 30, 2025, SOFAZ’s assets were reported to be USD 66,515.6 million, marking an increase of 10.8% from the beginning of the year when assets stood at USD 60,031.4 million. This growth reflects the fund’s effective asset management strategies.

Established on December 29, 1999, SOFAZ is tasked with the accumulation, efficient management, and preservation of revenues obtained from oil and gas, aimed at benefiting future generations. As an extra-budgetary, separate state institution, SOFAZ prioritizes transparency in its operations. Over the years, it has developed into a financial organization recognized at the international level.
