Trade Turnover Between Georgia and Azerbaijan Exceeds $970 Million

Tbilisi: In the first nine months of this year, the value of trade turnover between Georgia and Azerbaijan amounted to 970.6 million US dollars.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the National Statistics Office of Georgia reported a 1.43% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

From January to September, Azerbaijan accounted for 5.2% of Georgia’s total trade turnover, ranking sixth among Georgia’s trading partners, following Trkiye, the United States, Russia, China, and Kyrgyzstan. Azerbaijan imported products worth 529.9 million USD from Georgia, marking a 2.6% decrease compared to the previous year. With a 10.3% share in Georgia’s exports, Azerbaijan ranks fourth among Georgia’s main export partners, after Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

Meanwhile, Georgia’s imports from Azerbaijan increased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year, reaching 440.7 million USD. With a 3.3% share in Georgia’s imports, Azerbaijan ranked seventh among the country’s main import partners, after the United States, Trkiye, China, Russia, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

During the reporting period, Georgia conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth 18.5 billion USD. The neighboring country’s exports amounted to 5.15 billion USD, and imports amounted to 13.3 billion USD.
