Baku:Traffic has been restored on the streets that were part of the Baku City Circuit following the conclusion of the 2026 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This announcement was made by the Baku City Circuit.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, dismantling work on the circuit infrastructure and the grandstands around Azneft Square commenced immediately after the main race concluded. This allowed for the reopening of central streets to traffic.

Traffic restrictions on several streets along the race route were lifted at midnight on September 27. By 1230 p.m., traffic flow was fully restored, with the exception of the section between the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets and the intersection of Zarifa Aliyeva and Pushkin streets.

Throughout the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix week, additional measures were implemented to facilitate traffic in central Baku. Key transit corridors remained open during morning and evening hours to ease congestion.

In 2026, traffic arrangements were further expanded, including the introduction of a new transit corridor from the intersection of Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Pushkin streets towards Bulbul Avenue for the first time.
