Transit Price for Cargo from Azerbaijan to Armenia Agreed with Georgian Railways

Baku: A request was received from Armenia regarding the sale of petroleum products, and the issue of transportation via Georgia came up, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov at a press conference on the results of the year, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister highlighted that the tariff applied by Georgia was initially very high, which raised questions in Azerbaijan, as it did not align with existing practices. The Georgian leadership intervened to address the issue, and a tariff that fully aligns with market conditions was agreed upon between the companies involved. Minister Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Georgian leadership, noting that this resolution underscores the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia. He also mentioned that he believes the issue has been settled and that the route will continue to be used.
