Turkmenbashi:President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the significance of transport as a key area of cooperation between Central Asia and Azerbaijan during the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev highlighted the increasing importance of the Caspian Sea in facilitating transport interaction among the countries involved. He stated that the transport infrastructure on both shores of the Caspian Sea is crucial for linking Central Asia with Azerbaijan and further extending to international markets.

The President also pointed out the notable growth in cargo transit volumes across the Caspian Sea. He stressed that the shared objective is to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of these transport routes.
