Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov and representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) exchanged views via videoconference on trends in the development of the Azerbaijani economy, prospects for 2021-2022 and the medium term. During the conversation, the parties also discussed economic risks against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and the response to them by the Azerbaijani government, including measures to increase transparency, the press service of the Ministry of Economy reported. Minister Jabbarov informed the IMF representatives about the impact of the pandemic on the national economy and economic entities, and the corresponding support measures from the Azerbaijani government.
