Baku: The trial of Sevinj Mirzayeva (Osmangizi), Abid Gafarov, and Beydulla Manafov, accused of making anti-state calls, is poised to begin, as reported by APA. The case has been assigned to Judge Nigar Imanova at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, with a preparatory hearing scheduled for December 30.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Sevinj Osman gizi Mirzayeva faces charges under Article 281.2 of the Criminal Code. Due to her avoidance of investigation authorities and subsequent escape beyond Azerbaijan's borders, a search was announced to formally present the charges. The Binagadi District Court has imposed a preventive measure of arrest in absentia on her.

On September 18, 2025, the charges were amended, and Sevinj Mirzayeva was accused under Articles 220.2 and 281.2 of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code. It was determined that in videos published on her YouTube channel, 'Sevinc Osmanqizi TV,' she allegedly influenced people's will and encouraged unlawful actions against Azerbaijan's authorities. These videos purportedly called for the violent overthrow of the government and incited riots.

Further allegations claim that Mirzayeva, alongside Beydulla Manafov and others, participated in dialogues aired on her channel, supporting views encouraging unlawful opposition to the government. These actions allegedly facilitated calls for violent power seizure and disobedience, with the videos being disseminated to a broad audience.

Additionally, public activist Abid Gafarov faces accusations under the same articles. He allegedly made public calls for violent power seizure on several occasions, disseminating video materials via the 'AzerFreedom TV' channel. Gafarov is also charged with colluding with Mirzayeva and others to incite unlawful actions and riots, further spreading such content through internet platforms.

The trial will examine these serious allegations as the defendants face the possibility of significant legal repercussions for their alleged actions.
