ANKARA: Trkiye recently hosted an event in Ankara to commemorate Azerbaijan’s Victory Day, marking another anniversary of Azerbaijan’s triumph. The gathering was organized with the collaborative efforts of the Federation of Turkish-Azerbaijani Associations (TADEF) and the Azafli Social Assistance and Culture Association.
According to Trend News Agency, the event began with a tribute to the Martyrs, accompanied by the national anthems of Trkiye and Azerbaijan. The opening remarks were delivered by Arzuman Azafli, Chairman of the Azafli Social Assistance and Culture Association, and Sattar Kaya, Deputy Chairman of TADEF. A video presentation on Azerbaijan’s Second War was also showcased during the event.
Professor Mehmet Yce from Bursa Uludag University discussed the geostrategic and geoeconomic significance of Karabakh and Zangezur. His presentation highlighted Azerbaijan’s role within the Turkic world and underscored the strategic importance of Karabakh. Additionally, Professor Javid Abdullazade from Ankara
University addressed the Zangezur corridor and the legal considerations regarding the return of Western Azerbaijanis to their ancestral lands.
The event wrapped up with Arzuman Azafli presenting certificates of appreciation to the speakers, acknowledging their contributions to the event.
