Ankara: The Turkish Football Federation has taken decisive action against 102 football players who were found guilty of participating in betting games. The penalties were handed down by the Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK), which announced varying suspensions for the players involved.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Galatasaray players Eren Elmali and Metehan Baltaci have received suspensions of 45 days and 9 months, respectively. Additionally, Konyaspor player Ndao has been suspended from football for 12 months. These suspensions are part of a broader crackdown on betting activities within the sport.

The investigation has revealed the names of 1,024 players who were involved in betting activities, indicating the extensive nature of the issue. The Turkish Football Federation’s actions underscore the commitment to maintaining integrity in the sport.
