Baku: 'The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be included in the joint tourism routes project across the Turkic world," said Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) €š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“nal €š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“stel at the meeting of prime ministers of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, €š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“stel highlighted the necessity of stability and trust in the region, which the OTS can facilitate, to resolve ongoing conflicts. He asserted that the only viable resolution to the Cyprus issue is the recognition of sovereign and equal international status, warning that actions not acknowledging the reality of two separate states may exacerbate regional instability.
€š¬¦‚¬Å¡¬€¦‚¬Å“stel also stressed Northern Cyprus's commitment to engaging in all OTS events and projects, offering to host ministerial-level meetings and working groups. He invited tourists from Turkic states to visit Northern Cyprus as part of the 'Modern Silk Road' maritime route. The prime minister outlined priority areas for economic prosperity, including energy security, tourism, technology, and education, emphasizing the strategic importance of hydrocarbon resources in the Eastern Mediterranean and the energy security ensured through cooperation with Trkiye.
