Baku: The Trump Route (TRIPP) is set to become a critical component of a forthcoming peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, aiming to connect Azerbaijani regions long separated by distance. This was highlighted by Kenneth Angell, Managing Director of the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC), during a briefing on the outcomes of the U.S. Certified Trade Mission's visit to Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the establishment of this 42-kilometer route is expected to not only unify the territories but also open new avenues for the Middle Corridor. The principal objective of the Middle Corridor is to enable faster and more efficient transportation of goods between Europe and China. Angell emphasized that this initiative is not a zero-sum game, as the Middle Corridor route, which extends from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan and then to Georgia reaching Black Sea ports, and an alternative route passing through Trkiye, are complementary. Both routes boast sufficient trade volume, and the TRIPP connection will act as an additional strategic transport corridor facilitating the movement of goods across Eurasia.
