Baku: Within the military cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Trkiye, the 'TurAz Qartali-2026' joint tactical flight exercise commenced in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the exercise began with a ceremony at the briefing hall, where participants paid tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The ceremony included the performance of the National Anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Trkiye.

Participants viewed a video prepared for the exercise, which was followed by a briefing on administrative matters and the training tasks to be carried out during the exercise. The main objective of the exercise is to facilitate the exchange of experience in planning and executing joint air operations between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, to enhance the professionalism of military personnel, and to strengthen coordination between the two countries' armed forces.
