BAKU, Azerbaijan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu paid a visit to Ukraine after visiting Russia, Trend reports.

During his trip, he met with his Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba.

Cavusoglu stressed the importance of arranging a meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents to ensure a ceasefire in the short term.

“Following the results of the last two visits, we can say that our expectations for a ceasefire have slightly risen. If the sides reach an understanding on some issues, a meeting between the two leaders is likely to be held,” he said.
