The name of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States (Turkic Council) has been changed, APA reports.

A decision has been adopted in this regard at the VIII Summit of heads of states of Turkic Council.

The decision has been announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He noted that the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States has been changed as the Organization of Turkic States.
