Baku: The Turkic Union of Composers has been established within the framework of the First Congress of Composers of the Turkic World, APA reports. This landmark event marks a significant step forward in fostering musical collaboration and cultural exchange among Turkic-speaking countries and regions.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Turkic Union of Composers (TUC) was founded by representatives from leading music organizations in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Trkiye, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Hungary. The formal establishment was marked by the signing of the Baku Declaration, setting the stage for ongoing professional cooperation among composers, musicologists, performers, conservatories, music academies, and creative unions across these nations.

The First Congress of Composers of the Turkic World takes place from September 18-20, 2026, as part of the 18th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival. This significant project is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. The initiative is further supported by ICESCO's Baku Regional Office, the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
