Baku: Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Birol Akgn, emphasized the enduring alliance between Trkiye and Azerbaijan during a recent visit to the Alley of Martyrs. He stated that following the 2020 Karabakh war, Azerbaijan has successfully reinstated its sovereignty over its entire territory, fulfilling the aspirations of the martyrs, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Akgn highlighted that the day marks the 36th anniversary of the significant national movement by the Azerbaijani people towards freedom and independence. He acknowledged the challenges faced during that period, noting the resilience of the Azerbaijani people in asserting their independence and sovereignty. "For the sake of a free and independent Azerbaijan, and in the name of the Trkiye-Azerbaijan brotherhood, we have always stood by Azerbaijan. We stand by Azerbaijan today, and we will remain together in the future as well," Akgn declared.

Moreover, Birol Akgn expressed his desire for the enduring brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Trkiye and offered prayers for divine mercy upon the martyrs.
