Ankara: Azerbaijan is an important natural gas supplier for us, said Trkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, APA's Trkiye bureau reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister emphasized that the gas agreement with Azerbaijan is currently in the implementation phase. He stated that Trkiye purchases a significant volume of gas from Azerbaijan and that the supply is being extended to cover the period beyond 2029. In January, an agreement was signed for 25 billion cubic meters of gas per month, which is now practically in effect.
