Turkish Merchant Ship Attacked by Drones Near Odessa

Baku: A civilian merchant ship carrying Azerbaijani citizens was attacked by a drone near the coast of Odessa, Ukraine. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that the incident occurred on July 14, at approximately 3:15 p.m. local time. The ship, named "Atlas Bey," belongs to the Turkish company Okean Maritime and was targeted by a drone during its voyage. The ship's crew consisted of 11 Azerbaijani citizens, and the captain, also an Azerbaijani, has been reported missing following the attack. The rest of the crew members have been safely brought ashore in Odessa, and their condition is considered satisfactory. Efforts are currently underway to locate the missing captain. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine is in ongoing communication with relevant agencies to ensure that necessary consular support is provided to the Azerbaijani citizens affected by this incident.
