Turkish MFA Reaffirms Support for Azerbaijan Amid Rising Regional Tensions

Ankara: The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declared its continued support for Azerbaijan, emphasizing its historical alliance with the nation. The ministry's statement underscores the need to halt attacks on third countries in the region, which heighten the risk of escalating the war.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry's statement was released following an incident where drones launched from Iran reportedly struck targets in Nakhchivan. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported that one drone hit the terminal building at Nakhchivan International Airport, while another fell near a school in the village of Shakarabad.

These developments have raised concerns over regional stability, prompting Turkey to reiterate its commitment to standing by Azerbaijan as tensions increase. The Turkish ministry's call for restraint and cessation of attacks aims to prevent further escalation in the area.
